This project started back in January 2006, with the simple
goal of capturing Malaysia's fast disappearing (pre WW2) built
heritage. For me, I love the history of these old buildings,
the found objects within them and all the stories it can tell.
It's a sad fact that so many of these amazing structures in
their vast array of different architectural styles, are largely
not seen as anything worth saving. Many of these locations
are merely left vacant or abandoned and can ultimately end
up being demolished.
For my work, it really has become a race against time to track
these old buildings down now, before they completely disappear
from memory and landscape.
